Sign the contract even if it means we won't allow you to face Chelsea - Steve Bruce
Aston villa manager Steve Bruce have revealed that they are ready to renew John Terry's contract irrespective of his demands should they regain promotion back to the Premier league.
Fulham awaits them in the play offs final at Wembley and should they win it they would return to the top flight where they will have the possibility of playing against John Terry's former club Chelsea.
John Terry's previous contract will be expiring this summer and He has earlier claimed that He doesn't want to play against his former club, that was why He joined Villa in the first place.
Aston Villa are confident John Terry will sign a new contract if they win promotion and are willing to allow him to miss both games against Chelsea to help facilitate any deal.
Steve Bruce: "Well, we will not pick John Terry against Chelsea if that’s what he wants. I really genuinely hope he triggers [the new contract offer].“ He was quoted by the Guardian
John Terry captained Chelsea for 13 years between 2004-2017 and also won numerous trophies including Five Premier league tittles, four FA cups, three league cups, 1 Champions league and 1 Europa league triumph.
