Players Chelsea should be looking to bring back from loan this coming season

Chelsea are well known for always having array of young players out on loan to other clubs without them finally getting a shot at the first team before they eventually got sold. Players like Romelu Lukaku, Kelvin De Bruyne, Mo Salah all slipped away from Chelsea's hands because of their inability to integrate their loanees to the first team.

Because of the star names that are always at Chelsea's disposal, they find it difficult to accommodate their loanees in the first team even after they've had very good seasons.

Micheal Emenalo, the ex-chelsea director of football, was the brain box behind this loan system and He predicted some few years back that His vision is that Chelsea won't have to spend a penny on transfers in the future if they're able to get their loan system in order. But unfortunately things haven't  panned out the way He thought.

Chelsea currently have 36 players out on loan with clubs all around Europe, I take a look at some of them that has had an exceptional season and deserved to be given a chance at Chelsea this coming season.

  • Ruben Loftus-Cheek

This guy could be Chelsea's own Micheal Ballack with his physique and playing style, He was given his first chance out on loan to a PL club and He took it with both hands.

He was so good for Crystal Palace that He earned himself a place in the England's squad for this summer's world cup in Russia ahead of the likes of Ross Barkely and Danny Drinkwater who are already on the books at Chelsea.

He didn't stop at that, He has also been very impressive with his displays in the friendlies, especially the one against Costa Rica, that He has forced his way into contention for a starting spot at the World cup.

Chelsea should not let this type of talent slip away especially now that they need some changes in their midfield for next season with an ageing Cesc Fabregas and  uninspiring Bakayoko and Drinkwater.

Irrespective of the manager Chelsea will eventually appoint, He should look to recall Ruben from his loan, He is more than ready for the first team at Chelsea.

  • Mason Mount

A Chelsea boy since the age of 9, Mount has developed immensely at Vitesse on loan last season despite it beign his first season at senior level. He scored and assisted 22 goals in all competitions at only 19 years of age and in a foreign country.

Such performances earned him Vitesse's Player of the year award and Eredevisie young player of the year award. He was also called up to train with the England National team setup ahead of the World cup.

Marc van Hintum, Vitesse director of football heaped praise on him, He said “We witnessed a great talent. Ajax don’t have midfielders better than him. No, not even Ziyech.

"Mason has everything. He can create something out of nothing, stamina, tactical awareness, technique. He’s very intelligent and has the right attitude to make it at top level. We’re talking top, top level football.”

Though many may argue that at 19 years He still need another loan maybe in the Premier league this time, but He looks more than ready to come to the first team setup for next season especially now that Chelsea are involved in the Europa League and He could also get some cup games.

  • Michy Batshuayi

It is hard to believe that Batshuayi was the player with the highest number of goals on Chelsea's pay roll for last season with 19 goals in all competitions, He scored 10 for Chelsea before He went on loan at Dortmund and scored 9 goals for the German side.

Although recalling him back pretty much depends on the futures of Chelsea's current strikers Morata and Giroud and also the kind of incoming transfer Chelsea makes this summer.

But He is a guy that definitely deserves another chance at Chelsea and his goal per game ratio is one of the best around. The manager that Chelsea will eventually settle with will also have impact on where He will be plying his  trade next season.

  • Marco van Ginkel

The 25 year old Dutch has been on Chelsea's book since 2013, but a couple of injuries in his first campaign has derailed his chances of making the Chelsea squad ever since then despite having some impressive loan spells especially in the Eredevisie.

He scored 14 goals in all competitions from midfield and also impressively captained PSV to the Eredevisie tittle for the 2017/18 season.

Chelsea have always missed a goal scoring midfielder in their ranks since the days of Frank Lampard, This is a guy that can do just that and He is also a leader on the pitch. It won't be no mistake to give him the chance to stake a claim for a first team shirt at Chelsea next season.

  • Kurt Zouma

Following Stoke's relegation to the championship, it would be a surprise to see Zouma go down with them. The 22-year-old Frenchman made some impressive displays in a back three for the Pottries last season and was one of the few that impressed.

He has abundant pace, power and is tailor made for the Premier league and He is someone Chelsea should be looking to recall back next season especially now that Gary Cahill and David Luiz are getting old.

He signed a new five year contract immediately before He was loaned out last season, so there is believe around Stamford bridge that He is very much in their future plans.

Players like Tammy Abraham, Ola Aina, Kasey Palmer, Dujon Sterling, Jeremie Boga, Musonda all have bags of potential but they probably need another loan spell before they will be ready for a shot at first team at Chelsea.

Academy players like Callum Hudson-Odoi, Redan, Gallagher, McEarchran, Redan, Billy Gilmour also needs loan spell to further develop their careers.
