Napoli are stalling on talks with Man City for their star in order to wait for Chelsea

Man City are said to be frustrated in their effort to sign Jorginho from Napoli because the Italian side are still waiting on the outcome of the Sarri-Chelsea negotiation.

There are a lot of talks ongoing between Chelsea, Napoli and Maurizio Sarri at the moment and they are yet to conclude on the amount to be paid to buy out Sarri out of his Napoli contract even though He is no more their manager.

It was reported yesterday that Napoli have rejected an offer of €4m from Chelsea for Maurizio Sarri and they are not ready to negotiate a price, they want the full payment.

Napoli are insisting on Chelsea either paying the full price or involving a player in the deal, who is reportedly David Luiz or Cesc Fabregas. Chelsea also are aware that they're coming for some of Napoli's stars in the coming weeks so they are ensuring they are on the good side of Aurelio De Laurentiis.

Players like Jorginho, Koulibaly, Hysaj, Insigne and interestingly Dries Mertens are said to be on the radar of their former boss Maurizio Sarri should He sign for Chelsea.

These are players that Sarri has influenced their career positively in one way or the other and they would also happily join him at Chelsea.

As a result, There has been a slowdown in negotiations between City and Napoli over Jorginho and they've also rejected their opening offer of €45m for him. The Italians are interested to learn what will happen if Sarri joins Chelsea, which could bring them into the bidding.
