Sarri is ready to take a pay cut to join Chelsea - reports
Chelsea are very close to reaching an agreement with Maurizio Sarri with just some little details to sort out between both parties and one of those is settling the future of manager Antonio Conte.
The deal could be announced as early as Monday but Chelsea need to first find a way to get rid of manager Antonio Conte who is demanding his compensation fee of £9m and is even ready to take a break from football so that He can receive his money in full.
This is a deal that could cost Chelsea in excess of £15million to first activate Sarri's release clause and then terminate Conte's existing Contract with the blues.
Chelsea are hoping to get a discount on Maurizio Sarri's release clause and pay €4m. It’s possible Sarri could even take a pay cut to €5m per year rather than €6m in order to even out the cost according to reports from Football Italia.
Sarri is said to be believed He is close to been offered a two year deal with an option of a third once Conte's future has been sorted out by Chelsea.
It is believed that some events in the past couple of days at Chelsea has cleared the path for the appointment of Maurizio Sarri.
