Maurizio Sarri 'adviced' to stay away from London for the time being - Raffaele Auriemma
Sarri who has been heavily tipped to join Chelsea this week is said to be 'adviced' by his lawyers not to step foot in London at the moment according to Italian Journalist Raffaele Auriemma.
It was reported yesterday that Maurizio Sarri has been released by Napoli after Chelsea paid the Italians a €5million compensation, but it looks like not all the legal details has been sorted out by the English club yet.
Italian reporter Raffaele Auriemma has now claimed today that though Maurizio Sarri was scheduled to travel to London yesterday (Monday) but after consultations with his legal team He was advised to stay away from London for the time being because he risks legal consequences on the part of Napoli director Aurelio De Laurentiis.
"The situation is electric and very complicated. The lawyers have advised Maurizio Sarri to stay away from London and Zola not to talk about anything. There is the risk that Chelsea may get tired of this situation & allow Antonio Conte to stay put.
"Sarri stopped his trip to London scheduled for Monday, he avoided going. He was advised by lawyers not to approach for the time being because he risks legal consequences on the part of Naples. Even Chelsea risks a warning."
He also claimed that despite the various reports that Chelsea have agreed to pay €5million for Napoli as compensation, There has still not been a call through to Aurelio De Laurentiis from Chelsea yet.
"For the moment everything is blocked and no one has called De Laurentiis so far to find a solution. The President has taken the Sarri question to himself and is waiting for someone from Chelsea to call him but he has never been contacted by anyone so far.
"That's why all the parties involved - Sarri, the entourage and Zola - were stopped by their respective lawyers: none of them talks more on the subject because everyone risks having consequences."
It is still believed that Maurizio Sarri will eventually replace Antonio Conte as Chelsea manager, But surely this saga is not one that is about to end anytime soon.
