Sarri wants Serri IF appointed as Chelsea manager
OGC Nice midfielder Jean Micheal Seri is reportedly drawimg the attention of Maurizio Sarri and Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
The 26-year-old Ivorian was close to joining European giant FC Barcelona last summer before the deal fell through, but Chelsea are now reportedly leading the race to sign him this summer.
2017/18 wasn't a good season by any means for Chelsea and the midfielders on their books, though N'golo Kante won Chelsea's Player of the year award for the season.
But the likes of Tiemoue Bakayoko, Danny Drinkwater, Ross Barkely all failed to impress and didn't adapt to their new surrounding. Ageing Cesc Fabregas also had a woeful season by his standard as He isn't getting younger anymore.
So there is believe within the club that there will be the need to buy another midfielder this summer and probably sell one or two to balance the books.
Maurizio Sarri has reportedly hand-picked Jean Micheal Seri as his number target for the position and He has been backed by Abramovich to go for him.
Seri's agent also recently claimed that his agent will be open to a move to England this summer, leaving the door open for Chelsea to get their man.
And what a modfield partnership to look forward to in Kante-Seri, and with Ruben Loftus-Cheek also coming back. Chelsea will soon be strong in that position.
